The SMARTIA S560 is a thermally broken aluminum lift-and-slide door system, featuring systems from Alumil, designed for projects where a large glazed opening must also perform thermally, seal reliably, and operate smoothly for decades.
Lift-and-slide technology means that when the handle is engaged, the sash lifts slightly off its sealing gaskets and onto precision stainless steel guide rails, dramatically reducing the friction that makes large sliding doors heavy and difficult to operate. Dual-roller carriages distribute panel weight evenly and enable smooth one-handed movement of panels weighing up to 300 kg — depending on configuration.
The S560's 56mm sash width keeps visual proportions clean even at large panel dimensions. Glazing accommodates units from 22mm to 44mm depending on configuration, supporting double and triple insulated glazing units with Low-E, acoustic, or solar-control treatments as required by the project.
Multi-point locking hardware engages the sash securely against perimeter gaskets when closed. The thermal break within the aluminum profile reduces thermal bridging between the interior and exterior sash faces, making the S560 appropriate for projects with meaningful heating and cooling loads.
