Applications

Our systems are designed to serve the full range of building types and project scales — from single-family residential to large commercial and institutional developments.

Where We Work

Built for Every Building Type

Windows and doors are not one-size-fits-all. The demands placed on a residential casement window differ substantially from those placed on a large-span commercial curtain wall system or a hospital corridor door. Material selection, system series, hardware specification, glazing type, installation methodology, and performance thresholds all vary by application.

The aluminum and uPVC systems we supply are suited to a broad range of building types and project scales. The right system for your project depends on its specific dimensional requirements, performance targets, exposure conditions, design intent, and operational demands. We take these factors seriously in every project we engage with.

Application Types

Projects We Support

Luxury Residential

Custom homes, renovations, and additions where design precision and performance are paramount. Luxury residential projects demand slim sightlines, large glazing areas, high-performance thermal and acoustic specifications, and finishes that hold their appearance over time.

Our aluminum systems are particularly suited here — offering narrow profiles that maximize glass area, a wide color palette through powder coating, and the structural rigidity to carry large panes. uPVC systems serve energy-efficient renovation contexts where thermal performance is the primary driver.

Relevant Systems

Multi-Family / Condominiums

Consistent product specification, reliable supply, and coordinated installation across multiple units. Multi-family projects require predictable product performance, unit-to-unit consistency, and supply coordination that works within the pace of a complex construction schedule.

We support multi-family developers with volume supply programs, consistent product documentation across phases, and installation coordination structured to serve multiple units efficiently. The same system, installed to the same standard, in every unit.

Relevant Systems

Hospitality

Hotels, resorts, and restaurant spaces requiring large openings, acoustic comfort, and durability under high-traffic conditions. Hospitality projects often call for large-span sliding or lift-and-slide doors that blur the boundary between interior and exterior — particularly for dining terraces, pool areas, and event spaces.

The Alumil SMARTIA S560 lift-and-slide system is well suited to these applications, offering large panel dimensions, smooth operation, and a refined appearance appropriate to premium hospitality environments. Acoustic performance is addressed through glazing specification.

Relevant Systems

Commercial Office

Office buildings and retail spaces calling for slim sightlines, large glazed areas, and high-traffic door durability. Commercial environments demand systems that perform reliably under frequent use while maintaining the visual quality that a professional setting requires.

Aluminum systems are the natural choice for commercial applications — structurally appropriate for large spans, maintenance-friendly, and available in finishes that complement contemporary commercial architecture. We coordinate commercial supply at appropriate scale and with the documentation commercial projects require.

Relevant Systems

Healthcare & Institutional

Facilities requiring controlled ventilation, acoustic performance, and low-maintenance operation. Healthcare and institutional buildings place particular demands on windows and doors — they need to perform reliably over long service lives, require minimal maintenance, and in many cases need to meet specific acoustic or air quality standards.

We work with project teams specifying for healthcare and institutional facilities to match system performance characteristics to the operational requirements of each space. Appropriate glazing specification — addressing solar control, acoustic performance, or safety — is coordinated alongside the frame system selection.

Relevant Systems

Educational Facilities

Schools and universities needing safe, durable, weather-resistant window and door systems. Educational environments involve heavy daily use, diverse user groups, and a requirement for robust, low-maintenance systems that perform safely over many years.

Durability, weather performance, and hardware robustness are the primary selection criteria for educational applications. We specify systems and hardware appropriate to the expected usage intensity, with consideration for security requirements and appropriate glazing specifications for glazed areas within reach of occupants.

Relevant Systems

Historic Renovation

Sensitive renovations where modern performance must be balanced with design context. Historic renovation projects present a specific challenge: the need to upgrade window and door performance — thermal efficiency, weather resistance, acoustic insulation — without compromising the visual character that gives the building its significance.

Modern uPVC and slim aluminum systems can serve historic renovation contexts where the profile dimensions and proportions are compatible with the original openings. However, all historic renovation work is subject to applicable preservation requirements and any approvals required by relevant authorities. We recommend early consultation with the project architect and relevant preservation bodies.

Note: Historic renovation projects may be subject to local preservation board review, municipal approvals, or state historic preservation office guidance. Project team is responsible for all required approvals.

Custom & Special Projects

Unusual geometries, high-performance requirements, or large-scale coordination needs. Not every project fits neatly into a standard category. Some openings have unusual geometry — angled heads, tapered sills, non-rectangular frames — that require careful dimensional coordination. Others have performance requirements that push toward the boundaries of standard system capabilities.

We welcome complex and non-standard project inquiries. Our approach is to assess feasibility honestly — identifying what the system can accommodate, where the limits are, and what additional engineering or coordination the project may require. If a project exceeds what our standard supply and installation scope can address, we will say so clearly.

System Suitability Depends on Project-Specific Factors

The application types listed above are general guides. Specific system suitability for any opening depends on project dimensions, structural substrate, exposure classification, wind load requirements, performance targets, and local code conditions.

We recommend a consultation before finalizing system selection for any project. Contact us to discuss your application, and we will provide an honest assessment of which systems are appropriate and why.
